If you are a business owner, I know that you are always looking for a tax deduction that is legitimate, will not raise IRS red flags and allows you to keep more of your money.

Traditionally, your accountant has most likely told you to buy a piece of equipment for your business as a way of creating a deduction and still getting something out of it for you and your business.  I believe this is a poor strategy over time in that eventually you run out of things to buy that you can actually use.  In addition, it makes very little sense for a client to spend a dollar just to get a 40-cent deduction.
